Newsletter
If you join the newsletter, the site stores your email address, subscription status, consent timestamp, source, and technical records needed to confirm or unsubscribe you. Depending on the current signup setting, your subscription may begin immediately or after you confirm it by email. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. A suppression record may be retained after removal so the same address cannot be added again.
Reader and team applications
If you apply for an ARC, alpha/beta, street/hype, content, or other reader opportunity, the site stores the information you submit, including your name, email, age confirmation, role choices, application answers, and any optional country, time-zone, social-profile, reviewer-profile, or content-example links you provide. Application information is used to review and manage reader opportunities in the private Writer's Desk system. After manual review, application details may be linked to an existing Reader profile. Submitting an application does not create Reader Room access. Newsletter signup is a separate optional choice and follows the newsletter consent process described above.
Site analytics
The site records visits, active engagement time, session duration, newsletter starts and confirmations, book-page clicks, Amazon-link clicks, social-media-link clicks, Join the Team clicks, successful application submissions, and which FAQ questions visitors open. It also derives a country code from the visitor’s IP address. This information is used in aggregate to understand site performance and does not store the raw IP address with the analytics event.
Contact form
If you send a message, the information you submit is used to answer that message. The site is designed to deliver contact-form messages by email rather than publish a contact address on the page.
Security and abuse prevention
The site may process limited technical information such as an IP-derived hash, timestamps, and request metadata to rate-limit forms and reduce spam. Raw IP addresses are not intentionally stored by the application.
Sharing
Information is used to operate EndleyTyler.com and its email services. It is not sold to advertisers.
Retention
Newsletter records are retained while you remain subscribed and as needed to honor unsubscribe or deletion requests. Contact messages are retained according to normal mailbox practices. Aggregate analytics may be retained to compare performance over time.
